Our Day

  • My day

Hello, my name is Emily and I am a part of the Blue Group. Today, I will take you with me and show you what a typical day in my kindergarten looks like.

  • 7–9 a.m.

At 7 a.m. mum takes me to the kindergarten. Not all the children are there yet, but my friends will be there by 9 a.m. at the latest and until then I can spend my time playing.

  • 9 a.m.

Our morning circle always starts at 9 a.m. During this time we greet each other, sing songs together and listen to something being read to us. I always look forward to the morning circle.

  • 9.30 a.m.

After the morning circle we have breakfast together. Everyone brought some food from home. Mum packed me a cheese sandwich and apples today.

  • 10.00 a.m.

If the weather is good, we go outside to play. Our playground has a slide and a swing and also lots of sand to dig in. When it’s warm enough, we can also use the mud machine.

  • 12.00 p.m.

Now we all go back inside to have lunch. Today we are having mashed potatoes with spinach and fish fingers. The food in the kindergarten is always delicious!

  • 12.30 p.m.

After lunch we rest for half an hour by lying down and listening to a story. The younger children usually take a nap.

  • 1.00 p.m.

In the afternoon we have time to play, craft or adventure outside again. Now I can play with my friends and maybe visit another group.

  • 2.00 p.m.

Today I go to the dance group and every Monday we have a reading aloud helper who comes to visit us. Our Kindergarten also offers a pre-school programme about traffic education and other exciting topics, in the afternoon.

  • 4.30 p.m.

Now my exciting kindergarten day is over and my mum is picking me up again, but I am already looking forward to tomorrow!
